When the researchers checked the binding affinity of THCP against human CB1 and CB2 receptors, they found that THCP was 33 times more active than regular THC on the CB1 receptor, and 5-10 times more active than regular THC on the CB2 receptor.

It’s believed to be more active than delta-9 THC in both the CB1 and CB2 receptors. According to the study it’s 33 times more psychoactive than THC on the CB1 receptors and up to 5 to 10 times more active than THC on the CB2 receptors. It is fully compliant with the 2018 Farm Bill. All of the natural, minor cannabinoids that are not an isomer of Δ8-THC are legal as per the 2018 Hemp Farm Bill and in states where cannabis and hemp are legal. The minor cannabinoids are also legal where states have declared “isomers” of CBD are illegal. THCP is a minor cannabinoid and is not in the list of Schedule A or controlled substances act. Hemp with higher concentrations of minor cannabinoids continue to be legal along with their various extracts and isomers as long as they contain less than 0.3% delta-9 THC. In Puerto Rico, the regulations of the Department of Agriculture are not different from the Federal Agricultural Improvement Act 2018, “Farm Bill 2018”, and the Final Regulation of AMS-USDA. The definition of hemp is, the Cannabis sativa L. plant and any part of the plant, including its seeds and all its derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and isomers of salts, growing or not, with a concentration of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol of not more than 0.3 percent in its dry state.
